The Best Fanless Power Supply for $150 (and $199)
Posted On July 2, 2021
Fanless power supplies are the new hotness in power supplies, and you can get them for less than $150 for the base models and under $200 for the most powerful models.
The $150 Fanless Fan is the cheapest, and it’s a great power supply for gaming PCs, NAS, and even small NAS systems.
You can get this fan for around $80 if you opt for the Fanless Pro, and there’s also a $80 Fanless Lite edition for $60.
These models all have the same fan controller that comes with the fan, so you can choose the type of fan you want to use.
The fanless models have two modes: a single-speed mode and a dual-speed modes.
The dual-mode mode is for a single speed.
If you’re not interested in the single-mode fan, there’s a second mode for those who do want to go multi-speed.
All of the fanless power supply models feature two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, and one Thunderbolt 3 port.
They also all come with a fan controller, which lets you adjust the speed and fan speed for your particular fan.
You’ll also need an AC adapter to connect the power supply to your computer.
If that’s not enough for you, you can also get a single fan and add an onboard GPU for $30.
We’ve got a full list of all the fan powered power supplies for you.
The Fanless Platinum Pro has the best value, but the FanLess Pro Lite is a more affordable option for $50.
We’re not convinced that you need an onboard graphics card for $250.
If the fan is the only thing you want, you’ll want to look into the Fan Lite model.
